Newrybar Downs and Harvest
Dugald came to Harvest for lunch on a location scouting trip from New Zealand and fell in love with our food, wine and the Byron Bay hinterland. We started the journey, creating an intimate dinner in the restaurant for 30 delegates, arriving to summer spritz, stone & wood brewed beer, antipasto from our Harvest deli, then seated for a shared feast and dessert. The night had a beautiful refined elegance and the guests relaxed into their first evening in Byron.
We then created another event for the delegates with a different approach. I drove him to view Newrybar Downs, 5 minutes down the road from Harvest. He was overwhelmed with the possibilities and the selling point was the helicopter pad where we organised 3 helicopters to land at once on the pad and grass area to then transport the guests on the final day back to Gold Coast airport and home!
Byron Bay Kombi’s picked them up from the hotel, then off to Newrybar Downs to arrive to sunshine, palm trees, champagne, fresh local prawns, warm sourdough, oysters, seafood off the barbeque and citrus finger lime dessert. They lay by the pool, on rugs on the grass and in the shade of the pavilion.
It was spectacular and they were in awe of the whole experience….it was so fun to create such an amazing event and to work with Dugald, who had no limitations which allowed us to create a very dynamic and breathtaking event!!! I hope we can work together again.
