Byron Writers Festival is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere and for delivering a diverse program of stimulating and entertaining conversations that celebrate storytelling in all its forms. Held on the first Saturday each September, the Sample Food Festival is a northern New South Wales celebration of the creativity and wellbeing of the local food industry. Held in the village of Bangalow it is supported by 200 stall holders who include local restaurant owners, farmers, and local food producers.

First Sun New Year’s Day at the iconic Cape Byron Lighthouse sees people up at the crack of dawn for a family friendly event starting at 5.30am to greet the first sunrise of the new year with music, meditation and yoga.
